WHERE CAN I FIND COMLETE TERM AND CONDITIONS OF THE CONTEST?

WHEN CAN THE APPLY?
The system has opened on Sept 5th, 2022, and closes on October 5th, 2022 (5 pm CET). Check detailed TIMELINE in 2022 Contest Edition section.
OUR COMPANY IS NOT AN ABSL MEMBER, BUT STILL OPERATES IN THE SECTOR. CAN WE APPLY?
Yes! The aim of the ABSL Diamonds competition is to widely inspire the whole business services community by recognizing initiatives that showcase a continuous strive for excellence and strengthen the sector’s position as the powerhouse of the Polish economy. The contest is open to all BPO, Shared Services Centers, Captive Centers, ITO, RDO that have established operations in Poland.
IS THERE A FEE FOR APPLYING?
No. Submitting the Application is free of charge.
HOW CAN WE SUBMIT THE APPLICATION?
To submit the Application, the company needs to register by providing basic information on the company and authorized contact person, who will be introducing the application into the Application System. Upon completing registration, an Applicant will be able to fill in the Application form in a chosen award category. The Application form contains questions linked with the evaluation criteria, for every category type. There is a word count restriction for each entry. Additional documents and materials (such as movies, presentations, hyperlinks, …etc) can be uploaded for supplementary Jury’s reference.
DO ALL COMPANIES FROM THE BUSINESS SERVICES SECTOR COMPETE IN THE SAME GROUP?
Business services sector is very diverse and companies are at different stages of their journey. Thus, in every category, the companies are split into two pools based on their status at the end of June 2022 in terms of processes and operations performed, employment volume and time of operations in Poland. And so: Tigers are defined as smaller, younger organizations ,while Lions – as larger with longer experience. The qualification into one of the groups (pools) is done automatically by the Application System based on the Applicant answers to the following queries, at the stage of the registration:
1) How many employees worked in your center at the end of June 2022?
- 500+ employees
- less than 500 employees
2) When did your Center start operating in Poland?
- 5 years+
- less than 5 years
3) How do you rate your Center ways of working?
- mature, leading advanced processes & innovation
- starting or rapidly growing activities, developing and maturing
CAN A THIRD PARTY SUBMIT AN APPLICATION ON BEHALF OF THE OTHER COMPANY?
No. The Applications are to be submitted exclusively by the company that is taking part in the contest.
CAN A COMPANY SUBMIT MORE THAN ONE APPLICATION IN A SINGLE CATEGORY?
No, each company can submit one Application per category.
CAN WE SUBMIT MORE THAN ONE APPLICATION FOR MY COMPANY IN DIFFERENT CATEGORIES?
Yes. A single company may submit application in more than one category.
IS THERE ANY LIMITATION TO SUBMITTING PROJECTS/INITIATIVES DEVELOPED BY THE GROUP HEADQUARTERS?
To take part in the ABSL Diamonds competition, the project, case or initiative must be largely initiated and led by the employees located in the Polish Center. ABSL Diamonds competition doesn’t aim to reward the local deployment of any corporate global program.
CAN THE APPLICATION CONTAIN CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION? HOW WILL SUCH DATA BE PROTECTED?
Before submitting the Application, the Applicant needs to make sure all and any information is eligible to be shared with third parties (the Jury, ABSL contest administration staff, application system provider, the contest auditor, and public). If the Application is formally nominated (so, after the application is verified by the Jury panel), the project/initiative will be published in a form of a short case study (prepared by an Applicant as a part of the Application). The personal data of the Applicants representatives are secure and fully protected according to ABSL privacy policy.
CAN WE ATTACH ANY REFERENCE MATERIALS TO MY APPLICATION?
Yes. All documents that provide evidence of results achieved or a sample of work done may be shared as part of the application process, observing the capacity limits provided in each section of the application form.
HOW MANY WINNERS PER CATEGORY WILL BE THERE?
There are two winners in each category: one from the pool of Tigers and one from the pool of Lions, however in case of insufficient number of applications in a given category and/or pool or due to other reasons, the Jury may abandon the nominations (and so the winners’ election) in that category/pool.
WHO ARE THE JURY?
The Jury panel is composed of independent, recognized international experts from the business services sector worldwide. With long-term experience and broad expertise, they secure a fair, transparent and unbiased assessment of the applications across all categories. An external Auditor supervises the entire process to ensure compliance with Rules and Framework. Any attempt to privately contact the Jury members by any of the participants will result in disqualification from the contest.
WE HAVE SUBMITTED THE APPLICATION. WHAT’S NEXT?
Your application will be assessed by the Jury after the application phase is completed (see the TIMELINE section). The Nominees will be revealed tight after the Jury assessment is completed. The Category Winners will be announced on December 6th, at the 2022 ABSL Diamonds Gala (more information on the event to follow by the end of September).
